Neotravelmakers est un collectif pluridisciplinaire né en 2014, fruit d’une collaboration entre l’architecte urbaniste Eléonore Levieux et Vincent Rauel.
Leurs créations investissent tous types de médiums (assemblage, photomontage, dessin traditionnel, vidéo, scénographie, modélisation 3D, architecture mobile, etc.).

Leur démarche globale vise à questionner l’influence de l’art et de l’architecture sur le contexte environnant. Leur approche se situe à plusieurs niveaux, du plus petit espace à la plus grande échelle possible, du bâtiment et de la route à la ville ou à un territoire dans son ensemble.

Leur mot d’ordre est de sortir des sentiers battus pour aller à la rencontre de nouveaux territoires qui pourraient sembler peu attractifs, et de jeter sur eux un nouveau regard.

Le concept du duo, en constante évolution, s’affirme au fil des projets : approche expérimentale inaugurale autour du thème du paysage urbain dans le cadre d’une exposition à la galerie des AAB à Paris en 2014, travail autour du concept de syncrétisme culturel au Seek’o Hotel Design à Bordeaux puis à l’atelier Via Lattea de l’artiste Roberta Toscano à Turin en 2015, réflexion sur les grands axes urbains au Japon et en Russie à travers deux projets éditoriaux en 2021 et en 2023, démarche approfondie de création et de recherche axée sur les mobilités artistiques au Banyan, Centre d’art contemporain de La Cité des Arts de La Réunion, en 2025. 

Ces   projets ont fait émerger une thématique de travail clé dans leur démarche : le questionnement du déplacement dans une dimension critique à travers l’expérience touristique et son rapport au monde, à contre courant du tourisme de masse. Leur démarche actuelle s’ancre de manière plus spécifique et radicale dans une veine de “narration prospective”.

Their creations invest all types of mediums (assembly, photomontage, traditional drawing, video, scenography, 3D modeling, mobile architecture, etc.).

Their overall approach aims to question the influence of art and architecture on the surrounding context. Their approach is on several levels, from the smallest space to the largest possible scale, from the building and the road to the city or a territory as a whole.

Their watchword is to think outside the box to meet new territories that might not seem attractive, and to take a fresh look at them.

A N   E V O L U T I O N A R Y   A P P R O A C H

The duo's constantly evolving concept has been refined through a series of projects: an inaugural experimental approach to the theme of the urban landscape as part of an exhibition at the AAB gallery in Paris in 2014; work on the concept of cultural syncretism at the Seek'o Hotel Design in Bordeaux and then at artist Roberta Toscano's Via Lattea studio in Turin in 2015; reflections on major urban axes in Japan and Russia through two editorial projects in 2021 and 2023, and an in-depth creative and research project focused on artistic mobility at Banyan, the contemporary art center of La Cité des Arts in Réunion, in 2025.

These projects have brought to light a key theme in their approach: questioning travel in a critical dimension through the tourist experience and its relationship to the world, going against the grain of mass tourism. Their current approach is more specifically and radically rooted in a vein of  “prospective narration.”
